MarketHive provides a range
mapping and reporting tools that can be accessed for
free from our website. Additionally, MarketHive can develop custom
solutions to meet the specific needs of any organization. Custom solutions
can incorporate robust reporting graphics, improved geography levels for
demographic data and company specific databases that can be used with maps
through zip codes, addresses or telephone numbers of customers.
-
Reporting graphics can be designed to work off
your data and be displayed in a variety of charting methods.
-
Demographic data can be applied to census
block, census tract, zip code, metropolitan statistical areas, designated
market areas and more.
-
Company specific databases can be referenced
to a geographic area (zip code, census tract, county, etc.) and integrated
with demographic data for the selected level of geography.
-
Custom development can also include
segmentation of demographic data into unique community profiles that
identify classes of consumers.

Sales/Visits monthly mapping and
reporting for Company A
(name concealed for privacy)
Company A records sales and visits their
retail store by zip code and spends approximately $100,000 annually on
media advertising. The Sales and Marketing Director wanted to identify
what ads were working, in what markets and how well they were working in
respect to generating additional visits and sales.
|
Map 1: Company A uses seven
to eight FM radio stations to advertise with throughout the
year. Displayed are the FM stations Company A uses for
advertising and their corresponding coverage areas.
|
Map 2: Company A asks customers at the register for
their zip code in order to track visits and sales. The zip
code map provides a good start to identifying
characteristics about Company A's market location and
spending power. |
Map 3:
MarketHive
now provides Company A with an interactive digital map that displays
three attributes per FM station coverage area. Sales, visits and sales
per visits are now tracked monthly by Company A in an effort to better
understand their market, advertising effectiveness and to identify
potential new markets. |
This solution used zip codes
as the "level of geography" because that is how Company A captured sales
information. However, other boundaries such as county, census tract or even addresses can be used. Additionally,
MarketHive
Solutions, unlike
traditional
mapping/GIS solutions, do not require any investment in software or
training.
