A warning came on Friday from Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban: It is not far off "that a local war will turn into a world war, with this probability increasing by the day". Western leaders are "burning with war fever" and are sending increasingly dangerous weapons to Ukraine, Orban said.

Furthermore, a proposal to send NATO soldiers to Ukraine could also be put on the agenda. A Franco-German axis has emerged in Europe, although the United States has so far not interfered in local affairs. But the Americans have now reported "on the backs of the Ukrainians," said Orban. The Ukrainians could only fight as long as the Americans provided assistance. The prime minister emphasized that the 2024 presidential elections in the USA would have a major impact on the war in Ukraine and also on the future of the continent.
