Blessings or Struggles: Choose Wisely

Posted by Bobby Brown on January 30, 2025 - 1:34pm

My blessings are bigger than my problems. Life isn’t without struggles—challenges will come, setbacks will happen, and some days will feel heavier than others. But when I take a step back and count my blessings, I realize that they far outweigh my problems. Difficulties are temporary, but the things that truly matter—love, faith, health, family, opportunities—are lasting. Every day that I take up is a blessing. Every breath I take is a gift.  Even in themidst of trials, there are moments of joy, kindness, and grace that remind me that life is good.

Focusing on problems can drain energy, create stress, and cloud my perspective. But when I shift my mindset to gratitude, everything changes.  Problems lose their power when I choose to see the good in my life. They become stepping stones rather than roadblocks, lessons rather than burdens.

I have overcome challenges before, and I will continue to do so. My blessings give me strength—the support of loved ones, the opportunities ahead, the small joys that fill my days. When I remind myself of these things, my problems feel smaller, less overwhelming.

Gratitude isn’t about ignoring struggles but recognizing that they don’t define me. My blessings do.  No storm lasts forever, but the light of my blessings will always shine through.  So, no matter what comes my way, I will hold onto this truth: My blessings are bigger than my problems. And because of that, I will keep going, keep growing, and keep shining.
