Did you know that the average American home is filled with tens of thousands of chemicals?

Many of these chemicals are known to be harmful to our health, and they can even be found in products that we use every day, such as cleaning products, furniture, paints, and everything in between. If you are looking to clean up the chemicals in your home, here are a few good places to start!

🧼 Use non-toxic cleaning products. There are many non-toxic cleaning products available on the market today. Look for products that are certified by a reputable organization, such as the Environmental Working Group (EWG).

🛏 Choose non-toxic furniture. When you're buying new furniture, look for furniture that is made from natural materials, such as wood or cotton. Avoid furniture that is made from synthetic materials, such as particleboard or vinyl. You can also source organic fibers in many of these products, which further limit the chemicals that were used to grow the materials.

🎨 Choose non-toxic paint for your home. There are many non-toxic paints available on the market today. Look for paints that are low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

🔪 Cut the clutter. Clutter can trap dust and dirt, which can contain harmful chemicals. Get rid of any unnecessary items in your home to improve air quality.

🪟 Ventilate your home regularly. Open the windows and doors to let fresh air in. You can also use a fan to help circulate the air, and decorate your home with air-filtering plants!

Of course there are many other things you can do, but these are some of the most accessible ways of cleaning out the toxins in your home.
