Flu Vaccine Is Not Enough

Posted by Bobby Brown on August 22, 2023 - 7:27pm Edited 8/22 at 7:27pm

Earlier this month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that the 2014-15 flu season had already crossed the threshold for epidemic status, with 15 children’s deaths from the virus so far. Now, a new report from the organization estimates this season's flu vaccine is only 23% effective across all age groups. The CDC says this season's flu vaccine has low effectiveness and people at high risk of flu-related complications should seek additional prevention and treatment measures.

First-milking bone colostrum, the first milk of all mammals, has been utilized throughout the world for flu prevention and would seem to be precisely what the CDC has suggested.

Colostrum is a food and not a drug. Immune cells found in the gastrointestinal tract produce about 75% of the antibodies in the body, and colostrum strengthens the gastrointestinal lining.

A study published in December 2010 shows that colostrum in association with probiotics in the prevention of flu episodes is more effective than anti-flu vaccinations.i “The number of episodes registered with the immunomodulators was significantly lower than those observed in patients using vaccination or no prevention. In conclusion, the administration of immunomodulators is very cost effective and appears to be more effective than vaccination to prevent flu.”

A considerable amount of research has been done with colostrum in the area of viral infections, going all the way back to the 18th century when it was shown in the American colonies that vaccinations from dairy cows could prevent smallpox.

In an April 2007 study in Clinical and Applied Thrombosis/Hemostasis (13;3:130-136), a two-month treatment with oral colostrum in the prevention of flu episodes was compared with anti-influenza vaccination.ii The study, entitled “Prevention of influenza episodes with colostrum compared with vaccination in healthy and high-risk cardiovascular subjects: the epidemiologic study in San Valentino,” took place in Italy. The researchers noted that, “After 3 months of follow-up, the number of days with flu was 3 times higher in the non-colostrum subjects. The colostrum group had 13 episodes versus 14 in the colostrum + vaccination group, 41 in the group without prophylaxis, and 57 in nontreated subjects.”

Part two of the study had a similar protocol with 65 very high-risk cardiovascular subjects who were given colostrum or vaccinations. “The incidence of complications and hospital admission was higher in the group that received only a vaccination compared with the colostrum groups. Colostrum, both in healthy subjects and high-risk cardiovascular patients, is at least three times more effective than vaccination to prevent flu and is very cost-effective.”

Immune Milk

Anovite first-milking Colostrum6 is obtained from dairy cows within the first six hours of birth and is what’s left after the calf is finished. True colostrum is produced before the birth of the calf and can only be collected for a short period of time without being diluted by the subsequent production of milk. At the time of birth, potency is at its peak. The active elements such as immune factors, growth factors, antioxidants and antiinflammatory agents are at their highest concentrations. However, in fewer than 12 hours, the concentration of these components is only half of what it was at the time of birth. What this means is that the sooner the colostrum is collected, the less diluted it is with milk, and the greater the concentration of beneficial factors.

Unfortunately, much of what today is sold as colostrum is simply another bulk commodity item as old as 72 hours.

At Anovite, we collect first-milking colostrum never diluted with transitional milk—adulterated—or fractionated to remove lipids.

Many people find themselves carrying Anovite lozenges for added protection value. Other people take Colostrum6 in capsules, lozenges or in powder by the spoonful. Use Colostrum6 for sport training and especially recovery.

Moo Chews from Anovite are strawberry-banana flavored wafers that contain first-milking Colostrum6 with lactoferrin and immunoglobulins.

The minimum amounts of constituents per serving in Colostrum6 include:

• 2300 ng/g IGF-1

• 2-3% of Lactoferrin

• 25% total Immunoglobulins

• 24% Proline-rich Polypeptides

Anovite Colostrum is certified by associates of Cornell University in New York to be “true colostrum” that is low heat spray dried, chemical-free without fillers, a first-milking colostrum from within the first six hours following birth from cows fed organic grains and never given bovine growth hormone.

6 IMMUNE FACTORS

The following components of quality first-milking colostrum have become of particular interest in recent years when it comes to immune health:

1) Lactoferrin (Lf) has antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antiparasitic and antitumor activities and accelerates immunomodulatory properties. Lf is a potent inhibitor for several enveloped and naked viruses such as rotavirus, enterovirus and adenovirus. Its effect on viruses replicating in the gastrointestinal tract is of great interest.

2) Casein has been protective in experimental bacteremia and diminishes colicky symptoms in infants.

3) Proline rich polypeptide is responsible for T-cell activation and inhibition of autoimmune disorders such as multiple sclerosis.

4) alpha-Lactalbumin demonstrates antiviral, antitumor and anti-stress properties.

5) Lactoperoxidase shows antibacterial properties

6) Lysozyme is effective in treatment of periodontitis and prevention of tooth decay.
