Unrelenting Fatigue

Posted by Bobby Brown on September 06, 2023 - 6:49pm

Between 836,000 and 2.5 million Americans suffer from forms of chronic fatigue syndrome, says a February 2015 report from the National Academy of Sciences.

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) affects 4x more women than men, says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Everybody knows that stress leads to chronic fatigue but the definition of stress here includes all forms of stress to the body, even those we never notice- immune dysfunction, chronic infection, nutritional deficiency or early menopause. Infections are positively associated with CFS. Anti-cancer treatments are among the biggest stressors out there.

Antifungal and antibiotic prescriptions might be useful in some cases. But there is no one treatment and management involves combining different therapeutics that are both palliative and address underlying inflammation—such as meditative movement, sauna and nutrition. Now we also know there is a superfood for CFS.

First Food

Researchers say the first food fed baby calves immediately upon birth, first milk or bovine colostrum, could become part of a new protocol for the treatment of human infectious diseases and CFS. It contains peptides that activate the body’s immune cells to initiate production of microbe-killing white blood cells.

The reason that bovine colostrum is effective is that its immune factors are readily absorbed into the human bloodstream. Unlike human babies, calves are born with virtually no acquired immunity. For this reason, bovine colostrum, when gathered in the first six hours, has immune and growth factor levels far more concentrated than the human form yet just as bioactive.

Cancer patients and those who survive other life-threatening illnesses report chronic fatigue lasting months to years after completion of treatment. This symptom is a problem in 75-90% of patients with cancer or other chronic illnesses.

Galt Effect

In 2014, Saisei Mirai developed a new form of macrophage-activating factor (MAF) made from bovine colostrum (instead of human serum) in collaboration with Tokushima University, Japan. This new form, referred to as colostrum MAF, is administered orally in an acid-resistant enteric capsule to activate white blood cells in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) and as a powder in the mouth to activate macrophages in the lymphoid tissue of the palate and throat.

Case Report 1

A female with CFS was suffering symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, palpitations, tachycardia (faster than normal heart rate), depression, unrefreshing sleep, stomach pain, regular sore throat and other disturbances that had been part of her life for 4 decades.

She started taking daily colostrum powder by mouth, exposing the lymphoid tissue, and orally in an acid-resistant enteric coated capsule.

Within a few days, she noticed that her malaise, dizziness, tachycardia, insomnia, nocturnal urination and stomach pain were improving and she was feeling better with improved quality of life. Over the one-month period, “she also noticed that her skin improvement and that the blotches on her face and arms became lighter, disappearing in some places on the skin. She was able to do her usual work with more energy like most other people do. Over a four-month period, she also noticed improvements in hair growth on her head.”

Case Report 2

This report concerns a 45-year-old female with CFS. She had stomach pain, severe fatigue, especially after work, unrefreshing sleep, headaches, pain in the joints and other disturbances since she was 20 years old.

She started taking colostrum MAF powder by mouth and one capsule orally/day, as described in the previous case report. “In a couple of days, she felt much better with reduced malaise in the morning and reduced stomach pain. She was able to move her body easily without the usual joint pain, muscle pain and fatigue and she began forgetting to take her stomach pills. Within a one-month period, she noticed that the freckles on her face became lighter and her skin became smooth and silky. She was very happy because she did not have symptoms of malaise anymore, had good sleep, significantly decreased stomach pain and decreased menstrual cramps. Within a 4-month period, she noticed her hair was regrowing all over her head. Due to occupational use of paint thinner, she had lost hair on her forehead, which was now coming back.”
