Worried about pre-existing conditions?

Posted by Bobby Brown on January 09, 2024 - 1:37pm

Most Health Shares consider a pre-existing condition as something diagnosed, treated, or even shown symptoms of before joining.

This means if you have an unresolved pain or injury BEFORE you enroll into a health share, then shortly after need surgery, this medical care will be considered pre-existing.

👉Good News: If you can wait for surgery (just using same example as above), most health share plans have a waiting period where after your first year of membership, they will share in pre-existing conditions (for example, up to $25,000 - which can be all the money you need, depending on the condition)

In addition to that, after being symptom-free for a set time, many Health Shares won’t see it as pre-existing anymore (so if you’ve had cancer 7 years ago and it hasn’t come back, it’s no longer a considered a pre-existing condition when you enroll)

✨ The takeaway? Health Shares shine for those in good health and aren’t too concerned about pre-existing condition boundaries.

It’s also important to read through the details of the member guidelines, since each Health Share handles pre-existing conditions a little differently.
