I listen to a lot of podcasts and YouTube channels.
2 of my 25 (or so) favorites are Jack Canfield and Billy Gene.
Just this week, Jack was preaching that we don’t need to be someone else, we can be ourselves and still succeed.
At the same time, Billy Gene was expounding on the idea that we have to be different to “stand out” from the crowd, namely our competitors, in order to succeed at the highest levels.
Somewhere along the line, it occurred to me that they both were correct.
If you’re “being yourself” you’re unique already.
If you want to set yourself apart from your competition by being unique…
Just be yourself.
People will connect with you and your message, your business - products - services and your mission because they know who you are, they like who you are and they trust you.
People like differences and YOU are different. 7 ½ billion people in the world and every single one is a little bit different that everyone else.
And you can “stand out” best by being…
“YOU”
2019 is close to “closed”. 2020 is the start of a new decade.
