Welcome to Markethive

Sad Restaurant update from New Mexico

Posted by Bill Bateman on September 06, 2020 - 11:44pm

In my home state of New Mexico, we have been China Virus “locked down” for 24 weeks now.

Tomorrow, the Labor Day holiday in the USA, I’m actually hosting a live networking meeting at a local restaurant and although it will be very small, I have 5 people confirmed so far, I'm still excited to be able to meet with other business people in public.

New Mexico restaurants were just allowed to reopen last week after 160 days of being forced to close their indoor dining. However, the Governor’s only allowed a 25 percent maximum capacity. For example, if a restaurant's seating capacity is 100 people, only 25 customers will be allowed to “eat-in”.

The Restaurant Association sued the Governor and the State to produce the scientific data that they used to make their decisions. The State so far has refused to let the public see the information and the liberal court system in New Mexico have upheld that refusal.

In other words, restaurants were forced to close, then only partially reopen and told to not question the Democrat authorities for any supporting information!

Unfortunately, Restaurants are only 1 of many classes of business being driven into bankruptcy by the Government...

More people than ever need a financial “Plan B” way to generate income from home than at any time in my lifetime.

If you have that kind of offer, that kind of solution for the financial stress many families are experiencing, get your message perfected and get your message in front of as many people as you can. A platform like Markethive is a great place to get that message out.

PS - one of the businesses that have boomed in this COVID era is the webinar business. I use WebinarNinja. I've been a fan/follower and regular attendee of the founder Omar Zenhom (a school teacher turned Entrepreneur) for several years and he and his team have built a platform that is easy to use, affordable and robust in features. If you're looking for a better alternative to Zoom, take a free 14 day trial and see if you like it as much as I do. http://www.webinarninja.com/278.html
