A DRIVE AROUND AUCKLAND

Posted by Bobby Brown on February 06, 2020 - 5:09am

A DRIVE AROUND AUCKLAND

Enjoy a scenic drive through one of the world’s most picturesque cultural capitals, between two stunning harbors. You will join your guide for a drive across Auckland Harbor Bridge, with sweeping views of Westhaven Marina and the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, Auckland’s most prestigious yacht club. In the city, you will pass the spectacular waterfront, admiring its lovely bays and vessels of all shapes and sizes bobbing on the tide. More stunning city and harbor views await at Bastion Point, which also affords vistas of the islands of the Hauraki Gulf. In the charming suburb of Parnell, settled in 1841, view colonial-style shops and boutiques before passing the historic Auckland War Memorial Museum with its neoclassical facade. You will also drive into the business district, where you will note the contrast in architectural styles. Amid its bustling streets, modern skyscrapers stand beside restored Victorian buildings, coexisting in perfect harmony.
