A life without a 'why' is a life without purpose, meaning, or hope.

Posted by Bobby Brown on May 22, 2023 - 6:37pm

WHAT IS YOUR 'WHY'???

Our 'why' is the difference between a meaningful and meaningless life.

Our 'why' gives us a sense of purpose and a reason for living.

Our 'why' gives us a reason to wake up each morning and attack each day with vigor and passion.

Our 'why' gives us hope and the ability to power through the toughest of times because we have a reason we're willing to struggle and fight for.

Our 'why' gives us a reason to discipline ourselves, to improve ourselves, and to make sacrifices for the betterment of our lives.

When we're truly passionate about our 'why' we don't care what needs to get done, what needs to be sacrificed, or how we're going to do it, we just know we're going to do it.

A life without a 'why' is a life without purpose, meaning, or hope.

When we have no 'why' we don't see a reason for the struggles of life because we have no light at the end of the tunnel.

Our 'why' allows us to go beyond ourselves and make a positive impact on this world.

Viktor Frankl a renowned neurologist, psychiatrist, and Holocaust survivor, believed a human being's greatest task was to find their purpose in life.

According to Frankl, there are 3 possible sources for meaning:

1. Work - doing something significant and passionate about

2. Love - caring for self & others

3. Courage - surviving the most difficult of circumstances

My 'why' is self-actualization by means of total human optimization.

Self-actualization is a concept developed by American psychologist Abraham Maslow.

Self-actualization is the highest level of psychological development where the "actualization" of full personal potential is achieved.

Total human optimization is optimizing your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health to help you reach your full potential.

This is my 'why' because it gives me a reason to keep on learning, growing, and improving so that I can find out what I am actually capable of.

This page has helped me so much because it keeps me motivated and accountable.

I honestly love being able to share with all of you what's personally helped me along my journey as I believe it will help you all as well.

I believe by me becoming the best version of myself, I can better help others become the best version of themselves as well, and as the world becomes filled with people striving to be the best versions of themselves, the world will heal and evolve for the better.

We all have a ripple effect on this world but I believe when people strive for self-actualization they can have a positive tidal wave on the world instead.

I encourage everyone to find their 'why' so that we can live in a world filled with purpose, hope, and meaning.

So once again I ask, WHAT IS YOUR 'WHY'???
