Too often we consider asking for help as a weakness. We believe this is a sign of strength and resilience. I was one of these people.
While it’s definitely valuable to be independent and know how to take care of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally, we are kidding ourselves to think doing it alone is the answer.
The real strength comes in knowing when you need help and being brave enough to ask. This is one reason having genuine connections is your life is so important. You need to have those people you can lean on when you are having a tough time and can’t get off the struggle bus. Someone to listen, sit with, talk to, and give a different perspective.

I’ve had to learn that this is a much healthier and better way of living than thinking I can muscle through life alone.
Just in case you’re not convinced, multiple studies show that people live healthier longer lives if they have a network of people and real connections in their lives...so there. Science is never wrong obviously
Regardless, we are a species that is meant to be in community. Our biology and nature was not made to go solo.
So spend as much time nourishing yourself, but your friendships and relationships, are equally important to your health and wellness.
