Sitting too much may raise cancer risk: A study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute suggests that people who spend most of their day sedentary could have a higher risk for certain cancers. “People who spent the most time sitting during the day had a 24 percent increased risk of getting colon cancer compared to those who logged the least number of hours in a chair, according to the study.
