Set to debut in August, the newest ship in Carnival’s fleet will offer a variety of dining venues, including fan favorites and new food and beverage concepts.
“Great food and beverage experiences are at the core of any vacation, especially at Carnival. We always strive to provide our guests with the most diverse options possible, but the sheer variety of food and beverage venues on board Mardi Gras is unlike anything we’ve ever offered before,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
Here is a look at the myriad of dining venues onboard Carnival Mardi Gras.
New and Innovative
Master Chef Rudi Sodamin will have your taste buds and your face beaming when you dine at Rudi’s Seagrill. Look for his signature presentation of meal items plated to resemble faces!
The two-level RedFrog Tiki Bar will transport you to paradise with tropical cocktails and vibrant décor. Located poolside, this will be a popular place to relax and socialize with new friends.
The Watering Hole is modeled after a backyard gathering spot, except this one will have ocean views and Carnival’s own canned and draft brews.
Big Chicken restaurant by Shaquille O’Neal features chicken dishes developed and taste-tested by the NBA Hall of Famer himself. Stop by here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Street Eats is the open-air eatery with kiosks and carts offering world flavors – how about dim sum, satays, empanadas or falafels? The options are ever-changing so you never know what you’ll find from one day to the next.
Emeril’s Bistro 1396 will be the first seagoing restaurant of beloved chef Emeril Lagasse. Enjoy Creole cuisine and authentic bayou creations such as fried oysters, duck and sausage gumbo, and Po-boy sandwiches.
Carnival Classics
In addition to these amazing new venues, the classics are also returning to the Mardi Gras. Guy’s Burger Joint will be the largest at sea. For BBQ (and Guy) lovers, Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse will do the trick. Catch the action at Bonsai Teppanyaki or dig into fresh rolls or tender sashimi at Bonsai Sushi. At Seafood Shack, pretend you are seaside in New England, enjoying classics like crab cake sliders, lobster rolls, fried Buffalo shrimp.
Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse has your choice of steak cuts, lamb, lobster, and more, with indoor and alfresco seating. JiJi Asia Kitchen delivers a full-service menu of exotic and familiar Asian fare, and Cucina Del Capitano serves authentic Italian dishes family-style in a casual trattoria setting.
