You may be thinking “I don’t like the mall, so how can I like a cruise?” This is a recent myth, but if I’m being honest, it’s rmore of a half-truth. Some of the most largest and most popular cruise ships have a large interior “promenade” space that has a street plaza feel.

It’s actually kind of fun. This large area has several bars, stores, pizzeria’s and coffee and pastry shops. It’s also where some parades and parties happen. These large or very large cruise ships often referred to as Mega-Ships.

Is that bad? I don’t think so, but if you are concerned that a ship might feel too large, consider a slightly smaller ship design with a more traditional atrium. The fact is, a Mega-Ship may not be for you.

Travel Tip: Find out which ships have been most recently refurbished. In this way you get the nicest, most up to date décor and facilities, while still enjoying a tried and true ship loved by many. #inCruises
