Diet Is Not Enough

Posted by Bobby Brown on December 29, 2019 - 8:23am

Because a Healthy Diet is Not Enough

Would it surprise you to learn that many of us do not get the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of vitamins and minerals necessary from our foods, even if we are consuming the suggested daily servings of fruits and vegetables?

Due to current farming practices, mass food production, processing, and cooking, our foods are less nutrient dense than they were in previous years.

In fact, the U.S. Department of Agriculture says that it takes seven cups of today’s spinach to equal the nutrition that a single cup provided in 1960.

Vitamins and minerals help maintain cellular efficiency. They activate enzyme systems that are essential to cellular function. Phyto-nutrients, which are found in various forms of plant life, are so important that nutritionists recommend at least 5 to 7 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Sadly, less than one in five Americans get even half of these amounts.

Two Harvard researchers, Robert H. Fletcher, MD and Kathleen M. Fairfield, MD, are working to help us understand the importance of taking a daily multiple formula in order to help get the nutrients that one may need.

Take a Multivitamin and Mineral Formula with Phytonutrients to:

  • Prevent diseases*
  • Get the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of nutrients*
  • Make up for nutrient deficiencies in food*
  • Ensure consistent nutrient intake*
  • Maintain cellular efficiency*
  • Support the activation of enzymes essential to cellular function*

It would be ideal if everyone could eat at least 5 to 7 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables a day. This is the minimum amount generally recommended by nutritionists. Between high-paced living and the many challenges associated with obtaining uncompromised nutrient-dense foods in sufficient quantities, taking a daily multivitamin is the obvious choice. Though there are many choices available, look for one geared toward your specific needs that comes from a manufacturer known for quality formulas and manufacturing practices.
