Here are our 6 steps to get you on your way:
- Eat 3-4 servings of oily fish a week, if you're vegetarian include flaxseeds, chia seeds, walnuts and hemp seeds on a daily basis. You can also consider supplementing.
- Eat a diet that is low in glycemic load and eliminate sugars and processed foods.
- Eat a diet that is high in antioxidants, such as berries, green leafy vegetables and colourful vegetables.
- Exercise on a daily basis
- Consider eliminating caffeine if you're sensitive to it and opt for green tea instead
- Stay social! Research shows that socialising is essential to maintain a healthy brain.
