- Fear over health & uncertainty is something that is being experienced on a global scale at the moment. The body has a number of different stress or threat responses to stimuli that present the brain with something that it deems to be a survival level threat. Fight, flight or freeze are amongst those responses
- Transforming stress & calibrating the immune system. Two incredibly important things to know:
It’s impossible to experience stress when in a whole brain state relative to the stressful issue.
Neurologically calibrating the immune system is incredibly effective at both optimising the immune response & when performed early after exposure to a pathogen, is incredibly effective in minimising, if not potentially eliminating noticeable symptoms. If health related stress & immune function are on your mind, comment or DM as the fact that it’s possible to completely transform the stress & optimise the immune response, are not things that are in mainstream awareness.
- When the autonomic nervous system is tipped in to fight or flight, much of the energy is redirected from cognitive, rational thinking & decision making centres, amongst other areas of the nervous system & that energy is directed towards survival processes. Reflexive responses emanating from the brain stem, the oldest part of the brain, aka the reptilian brain dominate a much larger percentage of our function. This quite literally shifts your brain from higher intelligence, more towards reflexive animal survival levels of brain function i.e. less intelligent.
- Nose breathing & longer exhalations are two ways, supported by science, that will calm that threat response & if you’re in fight or flight, as so many people are then employing those breathing strategies can & most likely will, make you more intelligent.
