Get ready for an adrenaline rush you'll never forget as you descend 1,330 feet in 90 seconds.
On this adventure you will…
- At the Adventure Park, receive a safety overview before being equipped with a provided harness, helmet and gloves. All harnesses are double-sling style with a carabineer and pulley in a continuous belay system that allows you to advance through the obstacles at your own pace.
- Learn how to operate the equipment. Then swing through each course as many times as you want during the 2.5-hour excursion.
- Enjoy the series of self-guided courses ranging in difficulty level from very easy to challenging, with various treetop obstacles and zip lines. The 4 different levels are designed for various levels of experience and are suitable for ages 7 and up. Explore 60 obstacles including log bridges, climbing planks, fishermen's net, uneven circles and 13 zip lines.
- Ascend to the world's largest ZipRider atop Hoonah Mountain. After stops to take in panoramic views of Hoonah, Port Frederick and Icy Strait, it's a short walk to the launch area, located 1,330 feet above sea level—higher than the Empire State Building.
- Sit in a special harness as you await your launch. A truly unique adventure, ZipRider boasts 6 cables—which means that up to 6 riders can go at the same time. Prepare for a race to the bottom!
- Watch the land drop away as you accelerate to 60 mph. Feel like you're flying at an incredible 300 feet above the rainforest. During this exhilarating 1.5-minute ride, you will enjoy additional sweeping views of Port Frederick and Icy Strait—and even your cruise ship. This amazing adrenaline-fueled ride ends with a gentle touchdown on the beach at Icy Strait Point. Your fellow cruisers—the ones not as brave as you—will be at the zip zone to welcome you back to firm ground.
- Return to the ship.
