Turnips can be a beneficial for a healthy balanced diet, they are good for digestion and because of their Sulforaphane compound (bitter bite) studies have suggested that might also be what makes them active against some types of cancer.

.Do you like turnips?

I never did until I learned to buy them better.

I always buy when they are in season, and what I learned was to buy them small and heavy, that way they are not so bitter and they are not woody either.

Turnip is a good source of vitamin C, manganese, potassium, vitamin B-6, folate, and other vitamins.. ( and once again for our friends on Warfarin - limit your intake because Turnips do have Vitamin K)
