Hocus Focus! This Summer, Forget Energy Drinks

Posted by Bobby Brown on June 24, 2024 - 8:10pm

The energy drink market is expected to grow at a steady rate of 7.0% during the next few years. In 2020, the market was valued at $57.4 billion. It is estimated that the market will reach a value of $71.4 billion by 2025.

Despite the positive effects of energy drinks, they are still filled with artificial, refined sugar, and other potentially hazardous chemicals which may pose a health risk.  Also, when consumed in excess, these products are known to lead to various health problems including hypertension and heart attack.

Energy drinks can cause irritability and elevated blood pressure. It’s also advised to limit one energy drink a day. The more you consume, especially above the recommended dosage, the more at risk you potentially put your body.

Ingredients that may cause issues at higher than advised levels include:

  • High Caffeine levels
  • High sugar levels
  • Guarana
  • Excess Vitamin B (too much of a good thing can be a bad thing!)
  • Ginseng
  • Carnitine
  • Ginko Biloba

Although energy drinks are known to stimulate the body’s natural energy production, they are also filled with various chemicals that can cause adverse effects. Two of the most popular energy drinks are Red Bull, RockStar, and Monster. These drinks give users a boost but over time a tolerance is built up and many people are tempted to drink two or three a day and the effects can range from detrimental to devastating and can include death.

In higher amounts, these combinations can cause nausea, shakiness, vomiting, and diarrhea.

For optimal energy production, it’s important that users consume the proper amount of nutrients and supplements. One of the most effective ways to get the same effect is by using Gaditana Original Phytoplankton
