If you get six hours of sleep a night or less, you’re at risk for getting sick. Sleep is very important to restore and heal our bodies overnight. And without the proper amount of sleep our bodies become more susceptible to getting sick. In fact, a recent study found that lack of sleep is the number one reason for illness, “People who sleep six hours a night or less are four times more likely to catch a cold…Researchers found that lack of sleep was the most important factor in predicting the likelihood of someone catching a cold, more so than age, stress levels and whether someone was a smoker, factors that were previously associated with a cold risk.” Do your body and your immune system a favor and get at least seven hours of sleep a nigh
