It Controls Everything

Posted by Bobby Brown on December 30, 2019 - 4:27pm

The brain controls everything the body does, and a healthy diet, exercise and proper supplementation make up parts of the foundation of brain health. Incorporate these four simple tips into your daily routine to make sure you are priming your brain for the day and living your best life!*

  1. Eat Breakfast: If you want to get your brain ready for the day, make sure you eat a healthy breakfast within an hour or two of waking. Eating breakfast may help restore glucose levels – this is a necessary carbohydrate needed for the brain to function. Eating a carbohydrate rich breakfast may help support concentration on the tasks ahead of you.

  2. Be Physically Active: At this point, we all know that exercise is something we should do to live a healthy life. A reasonable goal to aim for is roughly 30 minutes a day of physical activity. Aerobic exercise will increase heart rate and pump more oxygen throughout the entire body and the brain. Studies have also shown that strength training as well as yoga may provide several health benefits.

  3. Stay Hydrated: Drinking water is one of the simplest things we can do for our bodies but often neglect. Water may support healthy brain cells. Aim to drink eight to twelve eight-ounce glasses of water per day as a guideline. Drinking tea may also help you drink the amount of water you need and provides brain health support.
