Swim, snorkel and relax at one of only seven pink beaches in the world, Komodo National Park’s romantic Pink Beach. The beach derives its color from microscopic animals called foraminifera, which deposit a red pigment on the undersea coral. When the coral particles mix with white sand, they produce a lovely reddish-pink color on the beach. The calm, crystal blue waters abound with tropical fish, making Pink Beach a diversity hotspot that is idea for snorkeling. You will ride here via tender boats from the jetty and enjoy two hours in this rosy paradise. The shallow waters are framed by scenic headlands and dotted with coral gardens. Afterward, you will tender back to the main jetty, and spend a little time browsing for mementos from the local villagers before returning to your ship via the tender boat.
