Let's Talk Cellular Activation

What is Age Anyway? | Let’s Talk Cellular Activation

Age is simply an accepted perception. It is a designated perceived length of time applied to you as an individual starting from your day of birth. We celebrate after we count 365 days calling that your birthday or the anniversary of your birth. Each year you add another number to your “age”.

When you are a kid, you relish these days. You celebrate with a party, cake, ice cream, funny hats, and all of your friends. You look forward to them and when someone asks how old you are you know straight off the exact amount of time you have been you – often declaring to exacting standards that you are not just 5 but 5 and a half!

Once we reach the critical point of adulthood, turning 21, that seems to be the pinnacle of all birthdays. You party like it’s 1999 and then the years begin to blend.

When we are young our bodies on a cellular level are constantly creating new cells and shedding the old. This slows down once you reach your early 30s and by the time your 40s roll around you may begin to notice small changes – less energy, more easily fatigued, your skin may seem a bit less glowy than it once was, and you may even be beginning to notice small lines and wrinkles or white or silver hair coming through.

This is what we have all agreed that aging is: the slow breakdown of the body over time. The question becomes – does it have to be that way?
