Men who eat too much sugar may develop mental health disorders. While it’s common knowledge that consuming too much sugar can cause weight gain, inflammatory conditions, and other health issues, it turns out that men are particularly impacted. Research shows that men who eat over 67 grams of sugar on a daily basis have an increased likelihood of developing depression, anxiety, mental health issues, and mood disorders. Compared with participants who ate less than 39.5 grams of sugar daily, excess sugar eaters were 23 percent more likely to showcase these troubling symptoms.
