Natural Ways to Improve Stretch Marks

Posted by Bobby Brown on May 16, 2021 - 6:29pm

You’re headed for the waters to have a good swim. You wear your favorite swimsuit; rejoice under the heat of the sun, the sand between your toes, and show off your smooth and flawless skin. You feel really great. That’s until you turn your head down and get reminded of your awful stretch marks. There’s no need to worry because nature, along with time and effort, are present to naturally improve those stretch marks.

[dropcap]1. [/dropcap]Aloe vera deserves to be number one on this list as it is the most excellent medicinal plant you can use for your skin. Its wondrous magic comes with a price in the form of the burn you will feel during the treatment. What makes aloe vera a fan favorite is its simplicity in utilization. All you have to do is apply it as a gel on the marks and allow the skin to absorb it.

[dropcap]2.[/dropcap] Good examples of essential oils people commonly use for stretch marks are lavender, frankincense, geranium, myrrh, and rose. Mix one tablespoon of whatever carrier oil (olive, jojoba, or coconut) with the essential oils and apply to the marks.

[dropcap]3.[/dropcap] A natural remedy which credibility is second to that of aloe vera is vitamin A cream, which boosts the production of collagen. The downside is its ineffectiveness on old marks compared to new marks, which it can treat dramatically. Women who breastfeed or are pregnant should refrain from using this cream because it can cause defects in birth.

[dropcap]4. [/dropcap]Another natural treatment that improves the production of collagen and also naturally exfoliates the skin is glycolic acid. Lower concentration of glycolic acid are purchasable over-the-counter. If you want to buy higher concentrations, you must present a prescription from a dermatologist.

[dropcap]5. [/dropcap]From acne to dark spots and wrinkles, castor oil can treat various skin problems. Apply castor oil on the stretch marks and massage the area for 15 minutes.

[dropcap]6.[/dropcap] Regular use of cocoa butter prevents new stretch marks from forming, renews cells and gives a smooth feeling.

[dropcap]7.[/dropcap] It is not just the skin that lemon juice lightens but also stretch marks. Wash your body with dried lemon juice and use continuously to get the best results.

[dropcap]8.[/dropcap] Mix together a ½ cup sugar, lemon juice, and one teaspoon vegetable oil to make a sugar scrub, to be used for exfoliation while showering. Leave it on your skin for ten minutes.

[dropcap]9.[/dropcap] Aside from being one of everybody’s favorite foods, potatoes can also treat your stretch marks. They are rich in minerals and vitamins which assist the body in rebuilding skin cells. Split a potato in half and rub it on your stretch marks making sure the skin is absorbing enough fluids, and allow it to dry. Rinse with soap and warm water afterwards.

[dropcap]10.[/dropcap] Separate the yolk from the egg white, disregard the yolk and keep the white. Apply it on your stretch mark two times a day for faster healing results.

[dropcap]11.[/dropcap] It is of utmost importance to keep the skin moist. You can do it by drinking adequate amounts of water, avoiding sugary drinks and caffeine, and use moisturizers frequently.

[dropcap]12.[/dropcap] Vitamin E, a great neutralizer of the skin’s free radicals, is found in olive oil.
