New research on depression

New research on depression shows alarming trend. According to a recent study by the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, depression rates have increased by 37 percent throughout 2005–2014. Teenage girls, in particular, showed the fastest rise in symptoms such as loss of interest, sadness, and other hallmarks of major depressive episodes. In 2005, 8.7 percent of the participants described feeling depressed, with that number rising to 11.3 percent nine years later.
