ONE PILL OVER OR UNDER IMMUNE ACTIVITY

Posted by Bobby Brown on July 28, 2021 - 9:56pm

Also known as colostrinine, proline-rich polypeptide (PRP) is a hormone found in bovine colostrum that regulates the thymus gland, stimulating an underactive immune system or subduing an overactive one. Colostrum, the first milk all mammals secrete upon birth, is also rich in thymosins. Thymosin alpha and beta chains are known to regulate the thymus, the seat of the immune system. As we age, the effect of these hormones substantially diminishes and the thymus shrinks. Restoration of thymic control of the immune system is important in helpingto control auto-immune conditions.

OVERACTIVE IMMUNITY

In a study published in 1984, a specially produced colostrum was orally administered every morning to 15 patients with MS at a daily dosage of 100 milliliters for 30 days. As a result, among seven high-symptom patients, five recipients improved and two remained unchanged. Among 8 low-symptom patients, five patients improved and three remained unchanged. Among those receiving the placebo, two patients remained unchanged and three worsened. No side effects were observed in colostrum recipients. Another condition often involving an overactive immune condition, fibromyalgia responds to colostrum. The objective of a clinical pilot study, published in the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapy, was to examine whether bovine colostrum could relieve the pain associated with fibromyalgia. The 4 patients suffering from chronic facial pain and fibromyalgia who were enrolled in the study had immune cells and cytokines measured and their levels of pain went down. In spite of the low
patient number “the results were obtained with a sufficiently high degree of control because of the study design. The agreement of the clinical data with our laboratory measurements suggests that the induction of apoptotic events in mononuclear cells is the result of the dominant immunological effects” of bovine colostrum.

UNDERACTIVE IMMUNITY

Dianne M. Tumbers, of Tucson, Arizona, suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome for 14 years when she was first diagnosed with primary immune deficiency. “I knew that I needed the immunoglobulins [immunologically active proteins] that were in colostrum and I had been trying brand after brand
without success,” she says. “I was becoming very pessimistic because I knew the immunoglobulins were absolutely necessary for me.” When she tried “first-milking” colostrum, “I was greatly surprised because there was no asthma.” She is allergic to milk; the other brands of colostrum had caused both
stomach troubles and asthma. “In fact, the ‘first-milking’ colostrum eventually solved the milk allergy almost entirely,” she adds.

“Seven hours after taking those first capsules I stopped getting worse and within several days was back to ‘normal.’ The colostrum seemed to help even more than another immunoglobulin product I had used. Also, my digestion, which had been an almost continuous problem for 11 years, is now over 95 percent better than it was. Many supplements and medications give me a rash; colostrum does not and, applied topically, helps the skin problems caused by the other substances. I am not yet totally well and I am continuing to take other supplements and medications (although I was able to cut back on some). I know that the colostrum is part of the improvement I am enjoying and I feel very grateful.”

FIRST MILK IMMUNOGLOBULINS

First-milking colostrum provides immunoglobulins (A, D, E, G and M), which are some of the most important to immune function. Lactoferrin, also present in first-milking colostrum, is an antiviral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, iron-binding protein with therapeutic effects in cancer, HIV, cytomegalovirus, herpes, chronic fatigue syndrome, Candida albicans and other infections.

IMMUNE MILK
Anovite first-milking Colostrum6 is obtained from dairy cows within the first six hours and is always what’s left after the calf is finished. True colostrum is produced before the actual birth of the calf and can only be collected for a short period of time without being diluted by the subsequent production of milk. At the time of birth, potency is at its peak. The active elements such as immune factors, growth factors, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory
agents are at their highest concentrations. However, in less than 12 hours, the concentration of these components is only half of what it was at the time of birth. What this means is that the sooner the colostrum is collected, the less diluted it is with milk, and the greater the concentration of beneficial factors. Unfortunately, much of what today is sold as colostrum is simply another bulk commodity item as old as 72 hours.

At Anovite, we collect first-milking colostrum never diluted with transitional milk—adulterated—or fractionated to remove lipids. Many people find themselves taking Anovite lozenges with them everywhere for added protection value. Other people take Anovite Colostrum6 in capsules, lozenges or as powder by the spoonful. Use Colostrum6 for sport training and especially recovery.
