Seizing Myself, Even When It's Hard

Posted by Bobby Brown on March 08, 2025 - 2:12pm

I know what I should do. I know the thoughts that hold me back. I know that I need to trust the process. But knowing isn’t the same as doing.

Right now, I feel stuck between two versions of myself - the one who knows better and the one who still hesitates to let go. The one who understands that slowing down is part of the journey, and the one who fears it means I’m falling behind.

Growth isn’t just about moving forward. Sometimes, it’s about sitting with discomfort, letting go of old patterns, and allowing yourself to be exactly where you are, even when it feels frustrating.

Or maybe, it’s about realizing that you are already enough. That growth doesn’t mean fixing something broken, but learning to stand in who you are without apology.

I’m still learning. I’m still adjusting. And maybe, carpe diem doesn’t always mean seizing the day. Maybe sometimes, it means seizing yourself - choosing to trust that you are still becoming.

Or maybe, that you are okay as you are.
