The Bacteria Inside Of Us

Posted by Bobby Brown on May 03, 2021 - 8:05pm

A healthy gut is vital for a healthy life. That’s because our gut is closely linked to nearly every function in our body. Did you know your gut affects your digestion, immunity, mood, energy level, weight, and skin condition?

Doctors, scientists, and researchers alike are just starting to realize how powerful the gut truly is. As more information starts to unfold, many people are realizing just how unhealthy they actually are.

The Bacteria Inside Of Us

Gut Bacteria

Researchers estimate that we have 100 trillion bacteria (some bad, some good) living inside our bodies. Yes, that’s trillion with a “t.” It may be hard to believe, but we are actually more bacteria than we are human!

Out of the 100 trillion bacteria inside of us, there are hundreds of different bacteria species. That diverse bacteria plays a major role in keeping us healthy.

There’s only one problem …

We are killing our good bacteria! When our gut bacteria is balanced we should have about 20% bad guys and 80% good guys. However, our gut microbiome is completely influenced by everything we do. The more sugar, artificial sweeteners, unhealthy fats, gluten, GMOs, pesticides, chemicals and toxins that we eat, the less “good guys” we have.

The 6 Gut Killers

Gut Killers

Antibiotics

The word antibiotics literally means “anti-life” or “against-life.” While there are times antibiotics are absolutely necessary, they should always be a last resort. If you’ve had just one dose of antibiotics, your gut microbiome can be permanently altered.

Diet

Think of sugar, unhealthy fats, gluten, GMOs, pesticides, chemicals and toxins as fertilizer for bad bacteria.

Tap Water

Unless you are drinking well water, tap water is full of excess amounts of chlorine and fluoride that propose serious risks to your health.

Stress

Stress takes a major toll on the body and the gut feels the brunt of the effects.

So What Should You Do?

In order to maintain a healthy gut, you must do the following:

  • Avoid Processed Foods, Sugar, Unhealthy Fats and Preservatives
  • Ditch The Chemical-Laden Produce and Go Organic
  • Stop Stressing So Much
  • Avoid Antibiotics As Much As Possible
  • Eat Probiotic Rich Foods
  • Take A Daily Probiotic Supplement

Don’t Waste Your Time On Low-Grade Probiotics
