The Delta Putt

Posted by Bobby Brown on January 07, 2021 - 5:09pm

A FUN AND EFFECTIVE WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR PUTTING

Putting is perhaps the most important element of everyone’s golf game, so it’s no surprise that there are so many different putters to support all the different putting styles.  I’ve tried numerous putting training aids, and I found each one to be more of a chore than an enjoyable exercise.

I’m pleased to report that I’ve found a great putting training aid that works.  It has no electronics and can be used both indoors and outdoors.  Most importantly, it’s a lot of fun! The product is the Delta Putt, along with its “big brother” (for more than one person), the Delta Dueler. Both training aids provide instant feedback as to where you made contact with the Delta “Puck”.  You will also know immediately if your putter was in the open, closed or square position.  You will see where the Delta Puck traveled after being struck by your putter.

Once I began playing with the Delta Putt, I quickly became sort of addicted – my first experience with the Delta Putt lasted more than 45 minutes!  Strategy: The goal is to hit the puck straight every time, which is not easy as the puck has 3 sides – an Amateur, Pro and Tour side, with each progressive side getting more challenging.  Once you get good at the Amateur side, you progress on to the Pro, and then the Tour (which I am still trying to master).

The Delta Putt is both fun and challenging, and I assure you that the Tour side is very difficult to hit straight putts with.  However, I can see the direction the Delta Puck goes in, so this instant feedback tells me what I’m doing right and wrong, which makes for a dynamic training aid.  When I saw my Puck go just a few feet and then turn left, I quickly got over my personal embarrassment and put my attention toward making the necessary adjustments, based on the system’s feedback.

The Delta Dueler is also fun and comes with a larger mat than The Delta Putt/it’s kind of like playing CornHole, using a puck and a putter instead of bags.  I had a few friends over and we played for over an hour, and it was a blast. I can tell you that once I changed the Delta Pucks to the challenging Tour Side, no one  could hit it straight so I had to back it down to the Amateur setting so that my group could finish the game.

If you want to improve your putting stroke and have fun doing it, the Delta Putt and Delta Dueler make a  great choice.

I plan on using  the Delta Putt and  the Delta Dueler on a regular basis, especially as the weather gets cold outside. Both are a lot of fun and I’ll be a much better putter by using it, that’s for sure.
