
THE ONLY 4 DOCTORS WE NEED TO LIVE A HEALTHY & VIBRANT LIFE!!!
The 4 Doctor living philosophy is a concept developed by Paul Chek, which I've learned while taking the CHEK Institute Holistic Lifestyle Coach Lvl 1 course.
The 4 Doctors, Chek explains, are Dr. Happiness, Dr. Quiet, Dr. Movement, and Dr. Diet.
Dr. Happiness is where our conscious mind & ego resides and is responsible for developing the core values that we choose to live by, our dreams, virtues, motives, and creativity.
Dr. Quiet is mainly responsible for our sleep/wake cycles and our rest & recovery so that we have enough energy to pursue our dreams, without burning out.
Dr. Movement is responsible for our physical activity and making sure we properly balance working-out exercises (expending energy) with working-in exercises (increasing energy).
Dr. Diet is responsible for supporting the other 4 Doctors by giving the body proper energizing fuel that it needs to function properly and efficiently.
The philosophy is rooted in the belief that nearly all of our issues in life, specifically in regards to our health are a result of one or multiple of the 4 doctors being out of alignment.
Typically, if one Dr. is out of alignment multiple are though since from a holistic approach they all affect each other.
For example, if someone is happy, eating properly, and exercising consistently but they are not sleeping enough over time this will lead to burn out, constant fatigue, injury, illness, and disease.
So it's vital to keep these 4 Doctors in alignment and to develop a relationship with our bodies so that we can listen to and be aware of the warning signs it's sending us.
