The Problem with Obesity

Posted by Bobby Brown on September 17, 2020 - 11:23am

Obesity is a problem for many. It can cause so many different health issues. It can lessen someone’s quality of life also. There are things you have to do when you’re obese if you want that to change. You have to eat healthy foods. You should learn about diet so you know what to eat. You should also learn about fitness. If you are too obese some workouts can actually be painful so you need to know how to go about doing it correctly. Losing weight is possible and will help you have a better life. It just takes research and determination. There is also a lot of support out there if you know where to look for it. There are online forums and other resources online. There also may be help your doctor knows about.

Key Points:

  • Healthcare providers tend to engage in weight-biased behaviors when treating obese patients.
  • Obese people tend towards binge eating disorder (BED)
  • Stigmatizing an individual because of being overweight does not tend to promote their losing weight.
