A new study has shown that the number of kids a woman has may correlate with her risk for dementia or Alzheimer's. Women with three children or more were found 12 percent less likely to get the disease than those who had one child or no children. One of the potential reasons behind this correlation could be the multi-tasking involved in raising more than one child which can do a good job of strengthening the brain. 

Other correlations that were found involved the many aspects of a woman's reproductive life. Researchers also speculated how the age of a woman's first period, miscarriages, hormones during pregnancy, and the onset of menopause could all potentially affect the development of Alzheimer's. More research needs to be done on this topic to fully understand the correlations.
