Tough times don't last

Posted by Bobby Brown on September 21, 2020 - 5:00pm

.  Tough people do.

Let's talk about it.  It's on the news, it's on social media.  And we are watching it spread around the world.  If you feel you need to panic- don't.  Firstly, we get a flu every single year.  Yes, this is a bad one, but we have survived pandemics before and we will again.  Secondly, all the measures being taken (closures, travel bans etc) WILL have an impact in slowing it down.  Thirdly, you have amazing tools at your disposal to protect your immune system and even help your body recover faster if you do happen to become infected.

Fourthly, your panic doesn't help.  It doesn't help keep you healthy, it doesn't help stop the spread.  It doesn't help your neighbour and it doesn't help the world.

What we DO know, is that in tough times - people rise.  Most of you will not know the story, but Malcolm's grandfather in Scotland, John Sword, made his fortune in the middle of the Depression.  He noticed that people needed to get into the cities to collect their welfare payments, and so he set up bus services for a Farthing.  He started with nothing- doing the driving and the mechanic work himself at first.  In time, he grew to own the largest bus and aviation network in the country, even employed the world's first female commercial pilot!

From a baker's son, to the wealthiest man in Scotland- in times where the world was in a  state of panic, he found a way to rise.  How did he achieve all this?  He provided a service that people desperately needed.  It wasn't opportunistic, it was necessary.  He made a positive impact on society, when it was needed most.

Right now, there isn't a single person in the world who is not interested in having a conversation about their health.  People are sharing videos, resources and tips about the different ways we might strengthen our immune system.  Everyone is open.

Everyone is also open to new ways to generate income.  Jobs and businesses are affected.  People are genuinely concerned, and so they should be- long after the virus is gone, the economic impact will linger.  But we can make a difference.  More than ever, we can make a difference!

You will notice form the information to follow that we have streamlined our online events and even put on some new ones, to ensure that your business can grow without interruptions.  Share the good news and you will one day look back on this season as the very making of you.
