At no point in life should we ever decide that we know enough and should quit acquiring new knowledge and skills.
We live in an amazingly complex and beautiful reality filled with awe and wonder, as well as heartbreak and pain.
These polarities are just two sides of the same coin and are ultimately what makes life so beautiful.
We need heartbreak to truly understand and appreciate love.
We need pain to truly understand and appreciate pleasure.
We need the ugly things in life to truly understand and appreciate the beauty of life.
We need all the bad to truly understand appreciate all the good.
These polarities are the Yin & Yang of life, keeping life in perfect harmony, as one needs the other, to truly understand one's self.
Famous psychiatrist Carl Jung once said, "In order to know the light, we must first experience the darkness".
If there was no bad and no challenges in life, and everything was always good and came easy we wouldn't actually appreciate the blessing of life we've been given.
In all honestly, a life without any bad and no challenges would be boring and not worth living.
Imagine playing a videogame where there are absolutely no challenges, no boss battles and we just start the game with all of our powers and can't level up.
Now that would be the most boring and pointless game ever and would quite frankly be a waste of time and money.
The same holds true for life, we need those challenges and difficult times to fight through so that we can level ourselves up and continue playing and improving at the game of life.
Looking back at my own life, I know that my struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts, while obviously terrible at the time, have actually been blessings in disguise because they forced me to begin acquiring new knowledge and making necessary changes in my life and have helped form who I am today.
I love who I am and know I wouldn't be who I am without my battle with depression.
Yes, the lows of depression SUCKED, but they've made me much more appreciative of who I am today and how far I've come, while still understanding I have so much further to go.
I'm enjoying the process and my journey though, and that's what being a truth seeker and life long learner is all about, to constantly learn more about ourselves, reality and consciousness, and enjoy the learning.
There are so many cool things to learn about these days from concepts such as the multiverse, quantum physics, simulation theory, dark matter, virtual reality, neuroscience etc.
As well as learning more about different ideas grounded in philosophy, psychology, religion, ancient civilizations, biology etc.
There are so many cool things out there, and we don't need to become experts on any of these to learn about them and enjoy it.
Our mindset and how we approach learning will dictate our experience of it and whether or not it brings us joy.
We must make learning fun by pursuing our interests and expanding our understanding and consciousness.
Learning also helps to keep our brains healthy and fit, improving our cognitive functions such as memory, focus, attention, and creativity.
Our brain is like a muscle, the more we train it the stronger and healthier it becomes!
As brain expert Jim Kwik says, "If knowledge is power, then learning is our superpower".
