Maintaining good heart health begins with understanding what a healthy lifestyle is. That should start in childhood. It begins with emulating your parents, so as an adult, you have a responsibility to your kids and grandkids to set a good example of eating a healthy diet, being active and not being overweight.

  • high blood pressure
  • high cholesterol
  • smoking
  • diabetes
  • obesity
  • an unhealthy diet
  • lack of exercise
  • family history of heart disease

Lifestyle changes can help reduce your risk factors for heart disease.
