You Raise Me Up (Official Music Video) | Natalie Di Luccio | Feat. Atso Chasie & Phetsukiku Club

Posted by Caleb Mpamei on July 15, 2021 - 6:53pm Edited 7/15 at 7:12pm

You Raise Me Up

Classical Crossover Soprano Natalie DiLuccio invites you to breath-taking Khonoma, India's first green village in Nagaland, Northeast India. Meet the musicians of the indigenous Angami tribe, Atso Chasie playing the Naga string instrument he invented, the Gei-Ü, and the singers of Phetsukiku club that effortlessly combine local with global culture.

Witness the magic that happens when two different worlds meet, and give a unique twist to a much-loved spiritual ballad.

Fun Fact: The phrase "Ra kemo lhenu zivi" which is sung by Phetsukiku Club throughout the song, means "neverfading everlasting beauty" in the local Naga language of Angami.

Caleb Mpamei Thank you, everyone for watching this video. I am a Naga myself. Since 1920s, the Nagas from Northeast India had been asking the Britishers to leave them alone, independent from both the Indian and Burnese governments. The Nagas declared their Independence Day on 14th August, 1947, one day before India. But the Indian Government did not recognize it and since then, there have been a long history of violence between the Indian Armies and the Nagas. Right now, they are about to bring a resolution this problem. So, I want you all to pray for this issue. Thanks a lot.
