Stephen Ursich promoted to v.p.
of business development at
Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance, and other hires in the Valley

      

STEPHEN URSICH

Ursich has been promoted to vice president of business development services effective July 1 at Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance.
Ursich has been promoted to vice president of business development services effective July 1 at Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance. Ursich will replace Tom Pellegrini who will retire from NEPA on June 30 after almost 40 years of service.
Ursich will be responsible for division operations, which include Procurement Technical Assistance Center and International Business Development as well as NEPA Alliance's low-interest economic development loan programs, primarily the SBA 504 Loan Program, throughout NEPA's seven-county region.
Ursich earned his bachelor of science degree in economics from the University of Scranton and is working on his MBA in finance at the university.

REBECCA McATEE

McAtee has been promoted to director, leadership giving within the resource development group at United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. In her new role, McAtee is responsible for managing the major gifts area within RD with prima a y focus on events and affinity groups, donor stewardship and Tocqueville Society.Swope, assistant professor of psychology at Lehigh Carbon Community College, has been selected as a member of the second American Association for Women in Community Colleges 40 Under 40 class.

McAtee came to the United Way in 2015 from the New York League of Conservation Voters where she was the director of corporate and foundation relations. She has more than seven years of experience working in development for nonprofits, including two years at the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley. McAtee holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Albany and a master's in fundraising from Columbia University.

BETSY S. SWOPE

Swope, assistant professor of psychology at Lehigh Carbon Community College, has been selected as a member of the second American Association for Women in Community Colleges 40 Under 40 class.Swope was recognized for her efforts to create, innovate, lead and make a difference at LCCC. She serves as president of the college's Faculty Association, committed to serving her peers with a strong voice. Her focus is on creating a team-based environment where all members will learn, grow and respect each other. She also serves on the Academic Council and leads an accreditation task force on governance, leadership, and administration.

ANDREW WRIGHT

Wright, vice president of the Vinart Dealerships, has been named the chairman of the 2018 Lehigh Valley Heart Ball. The annual gala will be held Feb. 24 at Lehigh Valley Country Club. Wright has spent more than 20 years working for his family-owned company, Vinart Dealerships, which includes Lehigh Valley Acura Honda Hyundai, Phillipsburg Easton Hyundai and the Vinart Collision Center. In addition to his service to the American Heart Association, he has been a committed supporter of several nonprofit causes including the American Red Cross, Easter Seals, and the American Cancer Society.

MARY NEUENSCHWANDER

Neuenschwander, associate director of alumni relations with the Kutztown University Foundation, has been named Outstanding Advisor by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education Affiliated Student Advancement Programs for District Two. Neuenschwander was nominated by members of the KU Presidential Ambassadors for which she is an adviser. Neuenschwander, of Kutztown, has been with the KU Foundation since 2012. Before that, she was an elementary and middle school teacher in Illinois and Ohio. She has a bachelor's degree from Kent State University in Ohio and a master's degree from New York University.
