Solana Rival SUI Continues Parabolic Run To New Highs As Daily Transactions More Than Double
Layer-1 chain Sui is igniting another leg of its rally, brushing up against all-time highs while its network sees more growth.
At the time of writing, SUI is up 140% in the last 30 days, and 266% from its yearly low hit in August.
According to blockchain explorer Artemis, daily transactions on the Sui blockchain have more than doubled since October began, going from 4.1 million to over 9 million at time of writing.
Early Monday morning, crypto exchange Bybit announced support for Sui on its Launchpool platform, making Sui only the second chain available on the service after Mantle (MNT).
Says Emily Bao, head of spot and Web3 at Bybit,
“Recently, with the strong development of the SUI ecosystem, we quickly listed the NAVI protocol, a leading project in the SUI ecosystem, and introduced staking for the SUI token pool on our Launchpool. This marks Bybit’s first mining pool beyond the Mantle ecosystem native tokens, and SUI is just the beginning. Moving forward, we will introduce more ecosystem token pools based on project characteristics and ecosystem development, empowering ecosystem growth.” Read More
Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson Says Solana Rival Offering ‘Real Innovations’ and Deserving Great Success in Crypto
Cardano (ADA) co-creator Charles Hoskinson is giving a shoutout to one of Solana’s (SOL) biggest competitors.
Posting to his 979,000 followers on the social media platform X, Hoskinson says that layer-1 platform Sui (SUI) is earning its spot in the crypto ecosystem.
“Reading about Sui. It’s good to see George’s work come to life. They deserve great success in the space.”
Hoskinson is referring to George Danezis, one of the main designers behind the Sui blockchain and a co-founder of Mysten Labs, the development firm backing and supporting Sui.
Hoskinson says that Sui is “what Solana should have been,” and while he still thinks Cardano is superior, he believes that Sui has “some real innovations.”
Says Hoskinson,
“If you look at the design of Sui, there is real research and there’s a real team that’s behind it. Not commenting on the distribution, the tokenomics, how they’ve launched, all those things. I haven’t looked at those things, nor do I care about them. I don’t hold any Sui, and I’m not involved with the project in any way. So I dispassionately look at these things to say ‘Is there any interesting innovation that has occurred?’ Read More
NFTs and Web 3.0 – Evolution of the Digital Landscape
The digital world is becoming ever more complex, especially with the rapidly evolving technology today – it’s redefining the ways that people communicate, conduct business and even establish rapport.
During the course of the 21st century, two more terms have emerged – Web 3.0 and NFTs (non-fungible tokens).
All of these new technologies are not only changing the internet itself and marketing as you know it, but they are also fundamentally transforming the digital landscape.
In the last two decades, we have seen the growth of social networking sites, the emergence of e-commerce business and the control of content streaming sites.
But now there is blockchain, NFT and Web 3.0, which is the advancement in the digital world that we can consider as the leap.
Okay, now let’s explore the details of NFTs and Web 3.0, and how they are revolutionizing marketing. Read More
Blockchain-based DeSci solves science’s peer review problem — Hoskinson
The DeSci movement continues to gain steam among industry insiders.
The world of science has a problem with too much centralization and not enough incentivization, at least according to supporters of the decentralized science (DeSci) movement.
Among those supporters is Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson. The outspoken developer and CEO minced no words when he recently discussed the state of traditional scientific publishing, calling it “terribly broken.”
“Blockchain-based DeSci solves this problem. The peer-review and publishing system is terribly broken.”
The problem Hoskinson and others are referring to, when it comes to the issue of peer review and pay incentives in science, is a long-standing area of concern throughout the entire scientific community.
Peer review is a process by which qualified scientists review the work of others in order to verify its accuracy. Under the best of circumstances, it ensures that mistakes, miscalculations, or errors haven’t led to incorrect conclusions.
In some situations, however, detractors claim that the peer review process is easily abused. Concerns are often raised over who should be qualified as a “peer” and whether the review process is fair and diverse enough to represent the breadth of scientific research. Read More

IDA integrates HKDA stablecoin with Chainlink for secure cross-chain use
IDA Finance’s use of Chainlink Proof of Reserves and CCIP products aims to boost cross-chain operability and asset security.
IDA Finance, a Hong Kong-based issuer of digital assets, said it is integrating Chainlink’s blockchain services into its upcoming HKDA stablecoin, which will be backed by the Hong Kong dollar.
According to an Oct. 9 news release, the move aims to improve transparency and secure cross-chain operations for the fiat-backed stablecoin.
A vital part of the collaboration is the implementation of Chainlink’s Proof-of-Reserves (PoR) technology, which allows onchain verification of assets backing HKDA.
Vince Turcotte, Asia Pacific business development lead at Chainlink Labs, told Cointelegraph that stablecoins play a “critical role in transforming payments financial markets.”
“IDA’s integration of Proof of Reserve and planned integration of CCIP are fundamentally important to enhancing transparency and broadening usability in the stablecoin market.” Read More
Ethereum layer 2 Scroll tips native token launch
The token, SCR, will be distributed through an Oct. 22 airdrop and listed on Binance, Scroll said.
Scroll is preparing to launch its native token, SCR, in what the Ethereum layer-2 (L2) network described as a “first step toward decentralization.”
On Oct. 22, Scroll plans to list SCR on Binance and airdrop the token among the network’s existing users, according to an Oct. 8 blog post.
Scroll said: “SCR will be used as a primary governance mechanism of the protocol and progress to being a protocol utility token as Scroll becomes more decentralized.”
The token’s total supply is 1 billion SCR, with 15% pegged for airdrops, 35% for ecosystem growth, and 17% for investors. The rest will go to the Scroll Foundation (10%) and contributors (23%).
Scroll is a zero-knowledge (ZK) rollup competing against L2s such as ZKsync Era and Starknet.
ZK-rollups are expected to eventually supplant optimistic rollups — such as Arbitrum and Base — as Ethereum’s dominant scaling solutions. Read More

This New Technique Slashes AI Energy Use by 95%
Researchers have cooked up a novel recipe for AI that could cut its energy consumption by up to 95%. Here's the secret ingredient.
A new technique could put AI models on a strict energy diet, potentially cutting power consumption by up to 95% without compromising quality.
Researchers at BitEnergy AI, Inc. have developed Linear-Complexity Multiplication (L-Mul), a method that replaces energy-intensive floating-point multiplications with simpler integer additions in AI computations.
For those unfamiliar with the term, floating-point is a mathematical shorthand that allows computers to handle very large and very small numbers efficiently by adjusting the placement of the decimal point. You can think of it like scientific notation, in binary. They are essential for many calculations in AI models, but they require a lot of energy and computing power. The bigger the number, the better the model is—and the more computing power it requires. Fp32 is generally a full precision model, with developers reducing precision to fp16, fp8, and even fp4, so their models can run on local hardware. Read More
