Why do people waste so much time over simple tasks such as creating a website, today in a forum I follow someone spent the whole day trying to build a website with a website building program, where he wanted to add a video or something. The thing is most so called building programs and you can include the likes of Dream Weaver, Frontpage, Website Tonight, Microsoft Expression and Word produce a lot of junk code.

I admit to having used these products in the past and they can become a pain in the arse if you want to make changes at a later stage. you can build some very good websites with the use of simple code and I highly recommend EditPlus which I have used for the past 5 years to design. redesign and publish both websites and blogs mad most of the time I just use simple headers, breaks, links and inserts in my code for blogs plus division and tables on websites. The results are clean codes and fast loading pages. I generally steer away from changing colours and fonts because I am writing for search engine spiders who are colour blind.

I never use pop ups or popunders and rarely use sound as these tend to distract and turn off visitors to your site.

I have a daily routine of writing blogs and updating website which takes a couple of hours work a day, giving me another two hours for new projects or mentoring. A daily routine is very important and one program that helps me focus on what I need to do is Mark Joiners Simpleology it a free program I highly recommend.
