It is all very well starting an online business selling pills, gels, creams, potions and millions of assorted items, but once you have worked through your list and made one or two sales, you realise that things are not as simple as you thought.

You realise that to compete with large companies you need to have a number of tools such as , capture pages and automated mailing system and each of these items can cost $100's plus you need help and advice on how to use them.

Few people are good at sales and most belive that an ad saying "Buy this amazing widget, best seller on the market only $25 click here" posted day after day will get results. It may have worked in the past but todays consumers are sick and tired of being bombarded with unsolicited email, junk mail and phone calls.

Social media has changed communicating with your peers, companies and organisation all have Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn and some have Youtube account. News travels fast. These are the places you need to advertise.

You need to become an information provider a source of information about the products you are trying to market. Consumers want to learn about the benefit of becoming you customer, its what I call the soft sell. You need to learn to write posts for blogs, forums and social groups in the form of information and gain peoples trust.
