He wanted to hold his tea so he took the cup, turned the corner and opened the lid having it explode all over the left side of his face- it had a silicone straw and it squirted directly in his eye and all over his face. He screamed bloody murder and I ran for my redox spray bottle because I had no idea what to do for a burn directly to the eyeball. I began spraying his eye within 30 seconds of the burn- he continued spraying his face for 40 minutes drive to the ER until we arrived at the hospital. We also applied the redox gel.
The doctors and nurses were amazed that he was as good as he was, because they usually send facial burns straight to the burn center.
After an eye exam they found that he did have a surface injury to the cornea but they believe it will fully heal and sent me home with some drops and to follow up with an eye doctor Monday. They couldn’t believe how well he looked just from using the redox, they told me to keep using it.
Today was really scary for me- driving my screaming child to the hospital saying he couldn’t see out of his eye and how badly his face burned literally broke my heart- I have no idea what I’d have done without the redox- it’s made a huge difference in my health and life but today I used it for something that literally saved my son’s vision and his face. I am eternally grateful.
The top photo is 40 minutes after the incident and afterusing redox for 40 minutes. The bottom is leaving the hospital 3 hours later- I did apply the gel in the hospital once, per doctors orders I can’t imagine what his face would look like without it, or how bad his eye would be.
Soooooooo thankful!!!!!
