Steve Jobs was a self-made man and one of the most influential people in the technological revolution. He changed the world as we know it. He faced many adversities in his life, but always managed to bounce back and create something better. Here are his rules for success.
1. Be Limitless
Don’t limit your potential. Break free of the box you are living in, think differently and change the world.
2. Have Passion for What You’re Doing
Be passionate about what you’re doing, don’t quit when times are tough. Persevere and endure.
3. Focus On What’s Good
Not only on the work or product you produce, but also you as a person. Be proud of your accomplishments and the good things you have going for you.
4. It’s Not About the Money
Again, it’s about your passion for what you’re doing. What if you weren’t paid for what you’re doing? Would you still do it?
5. Be Proud of Your Product
Take pride in delivering quality work, whether it is a financial report or an actual product you produced. Providing an excellent product gives you pride in yourself.
6. Design for Yourself
Think about the work or product that you produce. Would you be happy with it?
7. Have A Great Team
As your business grows, you will need to have a dedicated team. Do they share your passion and are willing to go the extra mile, or are they just collecting a paycheck? It is important that your team shares your vision and what you are trying to accomplish.
8. Build Around the Customer
Your customers are the most important thing in your business. Remember to keep their needs in mind when you deliver work or a product. The user experience must always be of the highest quality.
9. Marketing Is About Values
In the pursuit of financial gain, many people discard their morals and values. Stay true to who you are.
10. Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish
This is Jobs’ most famous quote. What it means is you should always aim higher and never be persuaded that something is foolish or impossible. If you give in, you will never make an impact in this world.
Our lives are limited by what we see, so if you want to change your life, you have to change the way you look at your life.
