Coin Bureau - EU’s New Plan to Control Your Savings EXPLAINED

"Recently, the European Central Bank said that there’s a need to channel European savings into the ideological agendas of the EU. Not surprisingly, this statement took the world by storm.

What is surprising is just how crazy the EU’s proposed Savings and Investment Union could be. It advocates for practices that most countries seem to be opposed to and could hurt retail investors.

Even though the SIU won’t be implemented anytime soon (if ever), the EU bureaucrats working on it are already discussing the first phase, which is indoctrination of investors and censorship of influencers.

This is a video you can’t miss."

The video discusses the EU's proposed Savings and Investment Union (SIU), an initiative aimed at channelling retail savings into capital markets to fund EU priorities. This concept evolved from the 2015 Capital Markets Union (CMU), which faced opposition due to concerns it would benefit larger economies. The SIU is a "watered-down" version, focusing on retail investors, with top EU officials advocating for directing European savings towards companies aligned with EU ideological agendas, particularly in green energy, digitization, and defence.

The SIU's primary goal is to secure approximately €800 billion of annual investment for EU agendas, built on four pillars: incentivizing savings, funnelling them into ideologically aligned businesses, integrating capital markets, and unifying supervision. A key mechanism is auto-enrolment in pensions, with funds managed by EU-aligned asset managers. Concerns include a lack of "guardrails" for retail investors in volatile markets and the EU's intention to regulate financial influencers to spread EU propaganda. The EU hopes for partial completion by Q2 2027, but the video suggests it may fail to raise necessary funds voluntarily, potentially leading to forced investment through mechanisms like a digital euro with negative interest rates.
