Lition Commercial Blockchain Adopted By Microsoft's Cloud Arm

  • Lition has been brought on board by Microsoft to its Azure cloud marketplace.
  • Azure is going to be the main thing that drives Microsoft’s cloud business.
  • This would make Lition one of the very few blockchains that is currently supported by a major cloud provider such as Microsoft.

It was announced earlier this week on the 18th of February that the commercial blockchain, Lition has been brought on board by Microsoft to its Azure cloud marketplace.

This would make Lition one of the very few blockchains that is currently supported by a major cloud provider such as Microsoft. In fact, the company has also become the first to bring blockchain to the cloud and continues to remain at the cutting edge of adoption when it comes to blockchain and other technologies.

As it integrates the Lition blockchain into Azure, Microsoft’s Azure enterprise clients are given the chance to develop, as well as, deploying the sidechains of Lition and applications in quick succession.

The CEO of Lition, Dr Richard Lohwasser went on to say:

“Lition is committed to providing an accessible onramp to blockchain for all organizations. We believe that making integration as seamless as possible is vital to bridging the gap to adoption. Azure will be a tremendous asset for our customers.”

Going off the announcement, Azure is going to be the main thing that drives Microsoft’s cloud business. As it currently has the second-largest share of $229 billion in the public cloud market, the platform is mainly looking to take care of some big enterprise clients. This includes Samsung, Coca-Cola and Walmart.

It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out.
