Why Are Precious Metals Rallying?

Why Are Precious Metals Rallying?

Coin Bureau - Why Are Precious Metals Rallying?

"Precious metals have stolen the show again. Gold has turned $4000 into support. Silver is soaring as a fifty-year cup and handle plays out. And after years of accumulating below $1000, platinum is going for the $1700 resistance again.

These metals don’t usually move in lockstep like this. Either this is a coincidence, or something's changed in the way the world values hard assets. If it's the latter, the supply side isn't ready for what comes next."

~ Coin Bureau

The video discusses the synchronized rally of gold, silver, and platinum, attributing the surge in gold to fiscal dominance and central banks shifting away from government bonds toward hard assets to hedge against unsustainable national debt. Silver is experiencing a massive breakout driven by a structural deficit and record demand from the solar energy sector, while platinum is recovering as automakers permanently switch back to it from palladium for catalytic converters. Despite unique industrial and monetary drivers for each metal, they all face significant supply constraints, with mining output failing to keep pace with growing global demand. While analysts project further upside, the presentation cautions that these assets are no longer cheap and could face volatility or long-term slumps once the current macroeconomic cycle concludes.
