Once again the time is fast approaching for 24  teams from UK Independent Schools to compete in an annual  Regatta in the Solent, for the Arrow Trophy. I am returning to compete aboard one of Sunsails 40 ft yachts as Forsail trimmer.

Last year we had good upwind speed, but  lostout will bad spinnaker handling. We have another scratch crew, including some new members with more Spinnaker experience, so are hoping to improve upon last years mid field position.

The weather forecast at the moment is for very light winds ,which  will add to the difficuly, but hopefully we will get to complete some races. Last year the first day was light winds, then on the 2nd day the wind picked up, however when the racing was finished we had a great sail back to Portmouth.

The only promlem this year is we cannot pick up our yacht until 1900, which wil mean a night crossing to Cowes, with will not allowtime to practise any drills.
