Well in a weeks time I will be travelling south on a coach to London nad then onwards to Southhampton nad the Hamble river to Join Troubadour a Swan 46., which will be competing in this years fastnet race. I am usually the first to arrive. Hopefully i will have not forgotten anything, althuogh at the moment I am still awaiting the ariival of my AIS beacon. If it does not arrive I will need to purchase another one at a local chandlery.

Weather is going to be hard to forcast but would seem to be light winds to start with increasing as the race goes on upto 20 knots. this is going to make it a challenging race and with tidal flows to take into account, it will be a tricky race to complete. there is no time limit, however as time goes by, the crews thuoghts will return to work committments.
